G.A.P.

TREASURE IT!

G.A.P.: God answers prayers.

He has it written in His word, "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." James 4:3

Whom do we pray for? What do we pray for? Why do we pray? Our personal answers to these questions determine whether or not our prayers will be answered the way we want them to be answered. I have learned, that when something I pray for ends up exactly the way I wanted it to be, chances are, it was how God has planned it to be. On the other hand, if it doesn't turn out the way I pictured it to be, it simply means that God has something better for me and I'll just have to WAIT for His instructions.

This blog is initially intended as a channel for finding 'treasure,' as REAL figures in our bank accounts but ultimately in finding REAL riches in the Vault of Heaven.

For now, I ask of you to please bear with me as I am (still) a work in progress.

Health is Wealth!

TREASURE IT!

So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.” - A. J. Reb Materi

"Health is wealth," as the old quotation goes. You can have all the money in the world but it is of no significance to you if you're suffering from various physical illnesses. Before you know it, all the years of hardwork will boil down to nothing when a dreaded disease strikes you.

It is common for us ordinary people to think that as long as we are able to breathe, walk, talk, run, do our daily routine with much ease without having to consult a doctor regularly, we're in tip-top shape. Sure, we'll have colds from time to time, a headache, or an upset stomach, but no biggie. We get back on our toes right away.

How many incidents in the past have been documented that seemingly "perfectly fit" people suffer from stroke? Take the case of my physically active workmate who, after playing his regular basketball game, went straight home- as usual - and then, much to the surprise of his family, suffered a stroke. Dead on the spot at the age of 37.

The point I'm trying to drive at is this: How prepared are we that in case a health-related incident happens to us, we will be taken care of? In this era of "cards," are we certain that we are well-provided for?

More on this on my next posts.. Stay tuned!
